Ludwig’s Rose Farm is the largest rose grower in South Africa managed by Ludwig Taschner and his family. Taschner’s rose farm was established almost 40 years ago and Ludwig’s is now a household name in the rose and garden industry in SA and further afield. The nursery, north of Tshwane, is a spectacle of more than 1 000 roses in bloom and with branches all over the country, accessible to all. Today, working with more than 25 growers from all over the world, Taschner annually tests hundreds of new varieties to see how they withstand our local climate. From these, a small selection of new varieties are named and released every year. In a magical collaboration between Ludwig’s Rose Farm and The House of J.C. Le Roux, Ludwig’s named a beautiful champagne and pink rose after their pink, lively “La Fleurette” sparkling wine. Ludwig’s Rose Farm also boasts The Rose Shed Venue – a place to celebrate with friends and family amongst beautiful, fragrant roses where roses naturally are the perfect complement to any event. The Rose Shed and Kitchen will hence forth, be a tasting venue in Gauteng for JC le Roux’s acclaimed Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) alongside the ever popular range of uplifting Sparkling Wines, now called Vivante. Guests can experience the craftsmanship of a fine vintage Cap Classique and Vivante, paired with decadent rose treats, handmade on the rose farm. The J.C. Le Roux collection can be suitably incorporated in your wedding day or function festivities. The farm is a huge canvas with many options for the creative bride to uplift her event from the traditional wedding celebration.
The romantic blush “La Fleurette”(-)rose was introduced during a spectacular media launch combined with 10 days of festivities. In the Taschner’( )s tradition, the first rose in the world named after a sparkling wine, was baptised with “La Fleurette” Vivante and the venue and collaboration was launched and celebrated in style. The event was complimented with a myriad of roses, floral art creations by Ribbon Weddings, Sparkling wine and rose treat pairings and the graceful La Fleurette ball gown designed and manufactured by Lubellos®, which was inspired by the combination of contemporary bridal fashion, the salmon pink blush of the ”La Fleurette” rose and sparkling wine.
The vision of the La Fleurette wedding gown was to create a youthful, romantic and confident character using superb quality, medium bodied, duchess satin. The blush colour complements the La Fleurette shades but is tempered with a silk white fine netted tulle, creating a lacy, floating look. Completing the silk white tulle and blush, is the reversed use of silk white, embroidery lace and blush satin, which accentuates the curves and lines of a feminine silhouette. Suitably so, the La Fleurette gown could only be completed with gems stones that South Africa is famous for – diamonds. Marion Rehwinkel Jewellery is an award winning and authentic (and widely published) South African jewellery manufacturer, famous for her unique, detailed and quality designs. Marion Rehwinkel distinguishes herself as an original, creative designer and trend setter in her field. The “La Fleurette” dress by Lubellos® is authentic, uncomplicated, classic and timeless….just like the ROSE.
